Mumbai: While fans are eagerly awaiting the Eid release of Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’, reports are doing the rounds that the grand trailer launch event of the film has been cancelled due to security reasons.
Even promotions of the movie will be a low-key affair, Pinkvilla reported.
Salman will reportedly not be making any public appearance, but will promote the movie through digital platforms.
Initially, the trailer launch event was scheduled in front of a crowd of 30,000 fans.
Meanwhile, director AR Murugadoss, confirming that the final edit of ‘Sikandar’ has been completed, told the entertainment portal, “The first half of Sikandar is around 1 hour and 15 minutes and the second half is about 1 hour and 5 minutes. The overall run time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes.”
He further added, “It’s a film with lots of emotion and we are targeting all sections of audience – from Salman sir fans, to masses, classes, and the family audience.”
On Friday, Salman took to his social media handle and shared that ‘Sikandar’ trailer will be released on March 23.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles, the film is set to release on March 30.
