Deogarh: Deogarh Police on Friday recovered the decomposed body of a woman buried near a playground in Reamal of Odisha’s Deogarh district.
A case has been registered but the identity of the woman has not been ascertained yet.
As per reports, the half-buried body of the woman was found near an open ground in Madhyapur village under Talakundi panchayat by a man who took his goats to graze there. He rushed to inform the villagers, who in turn, informed the police.
Police reached the spot but did not retrieve the body as it was already dark and too late for the scientific team to visit for investigation.
Broken bangles and parts of a saree were also seen near the half-buried body indicating that somebody might have killed her and buried her body.
Police investigation is on to ascertain the victim’s identity and the exact cause of her death.
