Happy Homecoming: Naveen Patnaik To Honour Odisha Golden Boy Pramod Bhagat Today
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will felicitate Odia para-shuttler Pramod Bhagat, who has made the nation proud by clinching a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics, at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in the city on Friday evening.
The Odisha government has already announced a cash prize of Rs 6 crore and Group A job for him.
A government release said in view of COVID protocols, media interaction with Bhagat will be held after the chief minister leaves the stadium.

The reigning world champion became India’s first-ever para-badminton gold medalist in the Paralympics when he defeated Great Britain’s Daniel Bathell 21-14, 21-17 in two straight in the Men’s Singles SL3 final in Tokyo on September 4.
