Cuttack: Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer on Saturday was happy to see a large crowd who thronged the Barabati Stadium to see the net practice of the home team.
“For the first time, I saw such a large crowd in the stadium to watch our practice session. I am sure there will be loud cheering in the stadium tomorrow,” he told mediapersons here.
Asked about the strategy of the team for the decider, Iyer said his team will play the match with a positive mindset. “We will play according to the circumstances and repeat our performance that we had displayed at Vishakhapatnam,” he pointed out.
About the decision of the team management asking him to bat at no-5, Shreyas said there is no issue on this. “I was earlier batting at no-4 and off late, batting at no-5. I know my game very well and can play at any position according to the situation.”
Talking about the dew factor in Barabati Stadium, he said his team had earlier played here and knows there will be dew in the evening. “We are prepared for it and have done enough practice in the outfield. I don’t think the dew will be a problem for the home team,” he said.
