Bhubaneswar: Newly-appointed Governor of Odisha Hari Babu Kambhampati is slated to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Thursday ahead of his swearing-in ceremony.
After reaching Odisha capital, Kambhampati will proceed to Puri and visit Shree Jagannath Temple in the pilgrim town to seek the blessings of the sibling deities.
As per official sources, 71-year-old Kambhampati is scheduled to take oath as the new Governor Odisha on January 3.
With a strong educational and political background, Kambhampati was the Mizoram Governor before his new appointment. He will replace Raghubar Das.
A qualified engineer and distinguished teacher, the Governor designate has immense experience in politics. He has experience of 24 years as an Associate Professor at Andhra University Engineering College, where he significantly contributed to the academic development of engineering students, providing them with the necessary skills for their careers.
After accepting the resignation of Raghubar Das, President Droupadi Murmu had appointed Kambhampati as the new Governor of Odisha.
