An FIR was registered at Bhupalpura police station in Udaipur, Rajasthan by one Dr Ajay Murdia in the FIR, the doctor has alleged that the filmmaker took Rs 30 crore from him to make a biopic of his late wife. He was allegedly assured a profit of up to Rs 200 crore.
The Rajasthan Police are now making preparations to apply for a transit remand to take the filmmaker to Udaipur for further investigation. The lookout notice was reportedly for Bhatt, his wife Sheetambari and six others.
Dr Murdia, owner of Indira IVF Hospital, claims that he hoped to honour his late wife by bringing her story to the screen. In his search for the right team, he allegedly reached out to Dinesh Kataria, who invited him to Vrindavan Studio in Mumbai on April 25, 2024.
