Malkangiri: The IIC along with other staff of Motu police station was sent to home quarantine after a havildar posted at Motu border check-post tested positive for COVID-19.
The premises of the police station has been declared as containment zone, Malakangiri Collector Manish Agarwal tweeted on Friday.
The district also saw a Tamil Nadu returnee and an attendant posted at the same temporary medical camp at Korukonda block testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 25.
“Intensive contact tracing is being conducted,” the post added.
Malkangiri now has four active cases with 21 patients having been cured of the infection.
