Having Uniform Laws In Country Appeasement? Asks Amit Shah After Releasing Bengal Manifesto

Kolkata: While releasing the manifesto for Bengal Assembly elections scheduled on April 23 and 29, Union Home Minister and BJP leader, Amit Shah, asked people that whether having uniform laws in the country for every citizen can be seen as appeasement?

“People of all religions are citizens of India… Is it appeasement to have uniform laws for every Indian citizen, or is it appeasement when one citizen is permitted to marry four times while another can get married once?… wherever the BJP is in power, the UCC will undoubtedly be implemented,” he said in Kolkata on Friday.

Shah accused the Trinamool Congress of securing its second term in 2016 on false promises. He c

laimed that the TMC returned to power in 2021 through corruption. He also alleged that the party operated in nexus with infiltrators.

Releasing the manifesto, Shah said it was the roadmap to develop ‘Sonar Bangla.’
