Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to former minister and Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi in connection with the Tata Motors job scam.
The court granted the bail with the condition of furnishing cash security of Rs 5 lakh and the bail bond of Rs two lakh with two sureties.
It also directed Panigrahi to cooperate with the investigating agency and refrain from influencing the witnesses. He has been warned against giving statements to the media.

The court told Panigrahi that he will be granted bail by the lower court if he fulfils the above conditions.
Pradeep was arrested by the Crime Branch in December last year for allegedly collecting money in the name of providing jobs in a private company on behalf of Akash Kumar Pathak, son of suspended Forest officer Abhay Kant Pathak.
Despite obtaining the bail, he, however, will not be able to walk out of Jharpada Special Jail as two more cases are pending against him.
Of six cases, he has obtained bail in four.
