Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed the district collectors to get more feedback on Mo Sarkar programme of the state government.

Reviewing the implementation of Mo Sarkar at ground level, the Chief Minister told Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra to take necessary steps on the basis of the feedback from the districts. He also advised the departments to strengthen their database as per the information from the people.

Naveen reviewed the performance of the departments of Revenue and Disaster Management, Panchayatiraj and Drinking Water, Housing and Uraban Development, Mission Shakti and Health and Family Welfare. He had held a review meeting of Mo Sarkar in May last year. The programme was implemented in 2019.

It was revealed at the meeting that 263 services of 31 departments have been included in the Mo Sarkar. Total 3.77 crore feedbacks have been received till date while 9 of its 11 parameters have registered improvement.

The Health department was found to have performed best under Mo Sarkar with the people giving good feedback on services available at government hospitals. Around 99% respondents have rated the services in the government hospitals and 98% in private hospitals as good.

Similarly, Revenue and Disaster Management department received good rating from 92% respondents, Panchayatiraj and Drinking Water from 96% and Housing and Uraban Development from 92%.

The feedbacks revealed that the people were facing problems in file movement in sub-register office, getting approval for building plans, submission of bills and obtaining caste certificates. The chief minister advised these departments concerned to strengthen their service rendering processes.

Secretaries of different departments submitted the data on Mo Sarkar at the meeting. Besides the Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner PK Jena and secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian also spoke at the meeting.
