Bhubaneswar: Odisha may continue to experience heavy rain and thunderstorm activity for two more days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
The weather agency has warned of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Balangir districts on July 27. Thunderstorm along with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may also occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.
On July 30, thunderstorm accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may continue at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
Though there is no warning thereafter, light to moderate rain may continue across the state during the subsequent seven days, it added.
