Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain is likely to resume in Odisha from Tuesday (August 13) and continue for the next four days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Monday.
It also mentioned about two cyclonic circulations over Jharkhand & neighbourhood and over east Bangladesh & neighbourhood.
The weather agency has warned of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till 8.30 am on Tuesday.
August 13
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning may occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bargarh districts.
August 14
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning may continue at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Sambalpur.
August 15
Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh ,Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur.
August 16
Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Gajapati.
August 17
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is also at one or two places in some districts of North Odisha.
While there is no warning thereafter, light to moderate rain/thundershower may continue at a few places across the state, it added.
