Sonepur: Incessant rain for the last two days has disrupted road communication in Odisha’s Sonepur district.
According to reports, floodwater of Rakhyasa Nullah was flowing at a height of three feet at Paikabahala village in Sonepur block.
In Biramaharajpur block, the floodwater entered Krushnapalli, Ulunda and Puleswar villages. As a result, road communication between Birajamaharajpur and Redhakhol via Charamala was cut off.
In Biramaharajpur town, a mutt near Raxa Chhak had completely submerged. The Fire Services personnel had rescued three sadhus from the mutt.
Apart from this, hundreds of acres of paddy crop were inundated.
