Heavy Rain To Continue In Odisha; Yellow Alert Issued Till July 13
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued heavy rainfall alert in many parts of Odisha in the coming days.
According to the midday bulletin, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar till 8.30 on Monday. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely at some places in North Coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and at a few places in remaining parts of the state during this period.
Yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bargarh and Deogarh districts on July 10. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places in North Coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Khurda, Nayagarh and at a few places in rest districts of Odisha.

On July 11, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Kandhamal. There is also a forecast for light to moderate rain or thundershower at many places in North Odisha and at a few places over the districts in southern districts of the state.
Heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Rayagada on July 12 with light to moderate rain at many places in the state.
On July 13, heavy rain is likely to lash one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapat and Ganjam districts. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely at most places in coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal and at many places in remaining districts of the state.
There is little change in the weather outlook for the subsequent two days, the IMD added.
