Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued heavy rainfall warning for 12 districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours under the influence of a low-pressure in the north Bay of Bengal.

In a mid-day bulletin, the IMD said that under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh and another cyclonic circulation over the north-east Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a low-pressure area will be formed over the north Bay of Bengal on August 4. This will trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places across the state in the next 24 hours.

August 6
