Heavy Rain To Lash 14 Odisha Districts Today; IMD Issues Yellow Warning Till Aug 2
Bhubabeswar: Already experiencing rainfall of varied intensity for over a week, many parts of Odisha are likely to be pounded by heavy downpour during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.
In its midday weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that light to moderate rain and thundershower will occur at most places of south Odisha and in many areas in the northern region.
The weather agency issued yellow warning of heavy rain (7 to 11cm) for at least 14 districts of the state during the next 24 hours. The districts are Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.

July 31
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) may occur at one or two places of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal districts.
August 1
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Nabarangpur.
