Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for 13 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 8 pm on Wednesday.
Moderate to intense rain/thundershower with lightning is likely in some parts of Bhadrak, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Angul, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi within 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from from lightning strike.

The IMD has also issued heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning warning for one or two places in Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Balasore districts till 8.30 am on Thursday.
Orange warning of moderate to intense rain/thundershower with lightning was also sounded for some parts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sundargarh and Bargarh till 6 pm.
