Berhampur: A helicopter taxi service was launched in Odisha’s Berhampur under the brand name Enjoy Ride, giving tourism in southern Odisha a glamorous leap forward.
This initiative allows tourists to soar above the city and its scenic surroundings, offering breath-taking aerial views while cutting down travel time to key destinations.
The service operates from Rangeilunda Airport, with flights connecting passengers to popular religious and tourist spots such as Dhabaleswar and Taratarini. Designed to combine comfort, speed, and affordability, fares start at just Rd 2,500, making air travel accessible to a wider range of visitors who want to experience Odisha from a bird’s-eye perspective.
The chopper service project is the result of a collaborative effort between the district administration, the state government and Pavan Hans, India’s leading helicopter service provider.
Officials said the service is aimed at boosting tourism in Berhampur and surrounding areas, while also providing a unique travel option for pilgrims and adventure seekers alike.
Expressing happiness after a chopper ride, a tourist said, “It is a pioneering initiative,. I thoroughly enjoyed the sky ride, had an aerial view of some of the most iconic destinations of Odisha.”
