Mumbai: Veteran actress-turned-politician Hema Malini lauded step-son Sunny Deol’s latest outing ‘Jaat’ by saying ‘Dharam ji bahot khush hai’.
The film, which hit theatres on April 10, received good response on the opening day with audience calling it a ‘pure masala entertainer.’
In a video shared by Instant Bollywood, Hema can be heard saying, “I heard it is open with very big ah bumper. Bahot acha lag raha hai ki..logon ko bahot acha lag raha.. Dharam ji bahot khush hai…so the film is so good I believe.”
Sunny’s half-sister Esha Deol also expressed her happiness. “I am so happy and its all his hard work and logon ka pyaar hai unke liye itna.. toh m so happy that the film has opened big.. that the way how it has to be with him always.”

According to a report in Sacnilk.com, ‘Jaat’ recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 12.89% and minted around Rs 9.5 crore on its opening day.
The film will be heading to Netflix after its theatrical run, according to a report in OneIndia.
Besides Sunny, the film stars Randeep Hooda as the main antagonist, and Ayesha Khan, Saiyami Kher, Zarina Wahab, Bandhavi Sridhar, Vishika Kota, Praneeta Patnaik, Doulath Sulthana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ajay Ghosh, Dayanand Shetty, Jagapati Babu, and Babloo Prithiveeraj in other supporting roles.
