Here’s How Much COVID-19 Vaccines May Cost At Private Hospitals

Bhubaneswar: The second phase of COVID-19 vaccination that will cover people over 60 years and those with comorbidities is expected to begin in March.

This time, private hospitals will be able to administer the vaccines and charge for it. The number, however, will be fixed by the Central government.

It is speculated that private hospitals could charge Rs 400 per shot, ThePrint reported citing confidential sources.

The overall charge for two doses will be Rs 800 and it would include Rs 100 for nurse and miscellaneous expenses.

In this phase also, the vaccine will be given free at government hospitals. Around 1.35 crore people have already been vaccinated in India.
