Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday ordered Puri collector to identify and allocate undisputed land plots within six weeks to the seven families of Baseli Sahi, who were evicted for the Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor project, for their residential purpose in accordance with law.
For the project, the state government had announced that the persons who will lose their land and buildings within 75-metre radius would get compensation and alternative land.
The seven families from Baseli Sahi were evicted from their houses allegedly without allotting alternative dwelling plots, after which they filed a complaint.
