New Delhi: The auto industry is finally making a comeback. Hero MotoCorp, one of the world’s biggest seller of motorcycles, posted a record 8.07 lakh sales (domestic + exports) in October.
This was a 35 per cent growth compared to September when Hero had sold 7.15 lakh units.
The festive season has played a role in getting demand back, experts believe.
Out of the total sales in October, 74,350 units were scooters. Compared to that, 46,576 scooters were sold in October 2019.
Domestic sales increased by 34.7 per cent in October 2020 compared to same time period year. Exports also rose by 28.14 per cent with Hero shipping 15,711 two-wheelers last month.
