Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who was hailed as the ‘messiah’ of migrant workers during the lockdown, has suddenly turned into a fraudster for a section of netizens.
Recently, a Twitter user claimed that tweets asking Sonu for help during the lockdown period have suddenly disappeared from the actor’s social media handle.
Also, the Twitter accounts from which the SOS messages were sent to Sonu have been deleted.
After this revelation, netizens have labelled Sonu as the ‘biggest scam of 2020.’
Soon, social media users started trolling the actor for fooling people and termed his actions as a PR stunt.
Here’s how the netizens reacted:
After he took up the task of arranging transport for stranded migrants, the actor became a household name.
He helped people return home via road, railways and flights too. He airlifted students who were stuck abroad and even helped the unemployed get a job during the crisis.
