Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Monday directed the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) to put on hold appointment of Multipurpose Health Workers (MPHW).
Notably, the OSSSC had in September 2024 declared the results of the examination held for MPHW to fill up a total of 2753 vacancies across the state.
However, several candidates had moved the court challenging the OSSSC MPHW recruitment by making certain allegations. Hearing their petitions, the High Court stayed appointment of MPHW till further orders.
The HC is slated to hear the case next in the first week of March.
The OSSSC had released an official recruitment notification on April 29, 2023 for the recruitment of 2753 female health workers.
A 100-mark written exam was conducted for the recruitment. There was negative marking for wrong answers. Later, it was alleged that 13 answers were wrong while there was no clarity over answers of eight questions. Following this, several candidates had moved the High Court.
