Bhadrak: Rural Police Thursday arrested three notorious highway men belonging to Gelpur near here on charges of looting truckers and other drivers at night.
The police said accused Susant Swain alias Balia), Bijaya Jena (Kunipua) and Susant Jena (Chaita) intercepted a truck near Nalang and snatched Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone from the driver after assaulting him. A case (No 366 U/S 394 IPC) has been filed in this connection and a phone and Rs 4.000 seized from the trio. The accused are being produced in a local court.
