Bhubaneswar: Hindalco Industries Limited, a unit of Aditya Birla Group, has extended assistance to Cyclone Arnab-hit families in Odisha’s Ganjam district, dispatching two truckloads of essential relief materials for distribution.
The relief materials, being sent for distribution through the Ganjam district administration, includes essential household and personal care items such as sarees, lungi, gamchas (towels), hair oil, bathing soaps, sanitary pads and bags.
Hindalco’s humanitarian initiative will support vulnerable families as they navigate the difficult process of recovery and rehabilitation.
The company stands in solidarity with communities during times of natural calamities and extending meaningful support to those in need, said Ardhendu Mohapatra, President, Corporate Affairs, Hindalco.
“At Hindalco, we firmly believe that our responsibility towards society extends far beyond our business operations. In times of natural calamities and humanitarian crises, it is our collective duty to stand beside affected communities and extend a helping hand. Through this initiative, we hope to bring some comfort and relief to the families affected by Cyclone Arnab in Ganjam. While this is a modest contribution, it reflects our unwavering commitment to compassion, solidarity and community welfare. We stand with the people of Ganjam as they work towards rebuilding their lives,” Mohapatra stated.
