New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) is offering three new postgraduate courses — MA in Hindu Studies and Chinese Studies, and PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law.
Registration for the courses began on September 19, and will close on September 30.
According to a DU bulletin, the courses have been designed to combine traditional knowledge related to Hindu philosophy with contemporary subjects, including computer science, informatics, commerce and political science, as well as make students proficient in Chinese along with making them aware of the latest techniques in the cyber world.
The programmes will emphasise on modern job aspirations as well as a thorough comprehension of the Hindu ethos.
MA In Hindu Studies:
Total seats available — 60
Unreserved category — 24 seats
Scheduled Caste (SC) – 9 seats
Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 5 seats
Other Backward Classes (OBC) — 16 seats
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) — 6 seats

Bachelor’s degree in any field.
MA in Chinese Studies:

Scheduled Tribe (ST) — 4 seats
Other Backward Classes (OBC) — 13 seats
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) — 6 seats
Educational qualification
Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university in India or a foreign university with at least 50% marks, along with a one-year (full-time) postgraduate Intensive Advanced Diploma Course in Chinese conducted by University of Delhi or a UGC-recognised university.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Chinese from any recognised university in India or a foreign university with minimum of 15 years of education, along with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalence course in Chinese.
PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law:
Total seats available — 64
General category – 25 seats
Scheduled Caste (SC) – 10 seats
Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 5 seats
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) – 24 seats
Educational Qualification
Graduates in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications/Software Development/ Computer Engineering or equivalent can apply for the course.
Admission will be based on percentage of marks obtained in qualifying degree examination.
