Bhubaneswar: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will flag off the new LHB rake of Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express at the railway station here on virtual mode on Friday.
The Indian Railways has replaced the conventional coaches of the Hirakhand Express with modern Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches to provide better comfort and jerk-free journey to the passengers.
The anti-telescopic LHB coaches do not flip in case of a collision and are safer, lighter and more comfortable.
The train will now run with a load combination of 12 coaches comprising one AC 2 Tier, two AC-3 Tier, four Sleeper Class, three Second Class seating. Only conventional coaches will be replaced by LHB coaches.
