Historic Bali Jatra Kicks Off In Cuttack

Cuttack: The historic Bali Jatra began on the bank of Mahanadi river in the Millennium City on Tuesday.

The eight-day event was inaugurated by the Odisha Assembly speaker Surya Narayan Patro in presence of the Indonesian ambassador Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab and MLA Mohammad Moquim, ministers Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pratap Jena and all MLAs of Cuttack district.

On the opening day of the event, a cultural show was held at the Baishnab Pani Manch.

For the cultural shows, four podiums have been erected at the venue.

Several eminent artistes including Sona Mohapatra, Rituraj Mohanty, Daler Mehndi, KK, Ira Mohanty, Asima Panda, Human Sagar, Goodly Rath, Sheetal Patra and Odissi Guru Ratikant Mohapatra will perform at the annual fair, this year.
