New Delhi: Honda launched its first motorcycle in the 180-200cc category on Thursday. The Hornet 2.0 is powered by a 184.4cc petrol engine and is priced at ₹1,28,658 (ex-showroom) in Bhubaneswar.
It is based on the CB190R and is a naked street motorcycle. The fuel-injected engine produces 17 BHP power @8,500 rpm and 16.1 Nm torque.
The engine has a roller rocker arm which reduces friction losses. It also has a piston cooling jet that claims to improve thermal as well as fuel efficiency. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
It has 276mm petal disc at the front and 220 mm petal disc brake at the rear with single-channel ABS. Like other Honda motorcycles, the Hornet 2.0 also gets monoshock suspension at the rear. Features-wise, it has an LED headlamp, tank extensions, 17-inch alloys, and LCD instrument cluster.
The Hornet 2.0 is available in Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic colours.
The motorcycle weighs 142 kg and comes with a 12-litre fuel tank.
Honda is giving a 3-year standard warranty and 3-year extended warranty as an option on the new motorcycle.
