New Delhi: Huawei is on a launching spree. After Nova 3 and Nova 3i, the company launched a new mid-range model, the Honor Play, on Monday. This phone will be exclusively available on Amazon.
The company boasts of GPU Turbo technology, which can increase performance by up to 60 per cent and reduce the battery consumption by up to 30 per cent when required. The phone is loaded with EMUI 8.2 which has unique AI features, such as scene, object, and 3D facial recognition, AI-based Face Unlock, Notification Safety, Party Mode and Hi Touch shopping app that lets users photograph products and search the same on Amazon India.
The phone has a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) 19.5:9 display with notch, a dual rear camera setup, 64GB storage, and like others, comes in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. It is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. The rear primary camera is a 16-MP sensor having f/2.2 aperture, and the secondary one a 2-MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). The front camera is a 16-MP unit with f/2.0 aperture.
There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The phone weighs 176 grams, and it measures 157.91×74.27×7.48mm. The battery has a capacity of 3750mAh.
The Honor Play 4GB RAM variant has been priced at Rs. 19,999 and the 6GB RAM variant costs Rs. 23,999. It is available in Midnight Black and Navy Blue colours. As part of the launch, Vodafone is giving extra 10GB data per month for a year, and so is a year’s Amazon Prime subscription free.
