Cuttack: Jaga, one of the separated conjoined twins, will undergo skull transplant surgery and the skull will be procured from a bone bank, informed Law Minister Pratap Jena here on Sunday.
The government will provide all sorts of assistance for the surgery, Jena said after visiting the twins at SCB Medical College and Hospital here.
The Minister further said that since Jaga does not have a proper skull on his head and is wearing a helmet for protection, arrangements will be made for his education at the hospital itself.
“After undergoing the skull transplant surgery, he can go to school,” he said.
Two years after being separated and treatment at AIIMS-New Delhi, the twins were brought back to Odisha and admitted to SCB on September 7.
