Berhampur: BN Pur police on Wednesday arrested a house surgeon, identified as Dr Supan Kumar Padhy, for allegedly physically assaulting a 22-year-old final-year MBBS girl student of MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.
According to sources, he had also bitten her on the hand and cheek.
“The house surgeon was arrested on the basis of a case registered at BN Pur police station. He will soon be forwarded to the court. The girl student was also medically examined,” said Berhampur SP Dr Saravana Vivek M.
