How Does Free Versions Of Zoom & Google Meet Compare? Read Here
Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 pandemic has made work-from-home the new normal and one of the tools that became very popular in facilitating this is Zoom. While there are many other video conferencing apps, Zoom and Google Meet have been ruling the internet.
Here’s a look at what the two give you in their free versions:
Google Meet Vs Zoom Time limit
The main difference between Zoom and Google Meet is that Zoom offers just 40 minutes of video call in the free version while Google Meet gives 24 hours. However, Google will be reducing the limit to 60 minutes from October 1.
Google Meet Vs Zoom Participants
Both platforms allow you to host group calls up to 100 people. Zoom lets you see 49 people on the screen while Google Meet shows 16 people at one time.
Google Meet Vs Zoom Security
Zoom doesn’t exactly have a great reputation as far as security is concerned. Google uses meeting IDs of 25 characters long, and lets people join up to 15 minutes in advance, a method claimed to reduce attacks.
Unlike WhatsApp, both Zoom and Google Meet calls don’t give end-to-end-encryption, though the calls are encrypted.
Google Meet Vs Zoom Features
One big advantage Google Meet has is Google. The integration with Google’s other products like Calendar and Gmail inbox is one of the convenient features.
