Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday held a virtual interaction with three recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine in Odisha.
The CM interacted with a Class IV employee of Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, a female health worker at the Sundargarh district headquarters hospital and a doctor at City Hospital in Berhampur.
During the interaction, the health workers told Naveen that the vaccine did not show any side effects and thanked him for giving them priority during the first phase of vaccination.
“The year 2021 has brought good news for us. The relentless fight by our COVID warriors for the last 10 months against the COVID-19 has finally paid off. We will never forget their service and the sacrifice and we are proud of them,” the CM said.
Stating that the COVID-19 vaccination is the most important programme across the country this year, he also sought the whole-hearted cooperation of the health workers to make the programme a stupendous success.
Congratulating scientists for earning the pride for the country by developing the vaccine, Naveen said the pharmaceutical companies who have prepared the vaccines indigenously are now exporting them to various countries.
