How KISS Foundation Changed The Lives Of 4 Orphan Sisters From Odisha’s Puri District
Bhubaneswar: KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta on Thursday handed over appointment letters to three of the four sisters from Puri district who were orphaned some years ago.
Dr Samanta fulfilled the promise he had made when the sisters were hit by the greatest tragedy of their lives.
The four sisters, from Raghurajpur village near Chandanpur, were left devastated after the death of their parents Lakshmidhar Mahapatra and his wife.
Coming to know of their plight from mefia reports, the KISS Foundation and Dr Samanta promised them necessary support for their livelihood and education.
Ramamani, the eldest sister, is a postgraduate, while the other two have obtained bachelor’s degree. The youngest sister is studying in 8th standard.
Dr Samanta used to meet the sisters regularly to inquire about their well-being and encouraged them to focus on studies. He also provided them financial assistance to help the elder sister complete their house, which was under construction under a government scheme.
The three sisters, who have been provided employment in KIIT and KISS, expressed their gratitude to Dr Samanta and KISS Foundation for standing behind them rock solid for so many years and providing them employment.
