Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited WhatsApp payment service has finally been launched in India. The Payment feature uses Unified Payments Interface (UPI) framework to send and receive money. The process is similar to other UPI-based apps like Google Pay and PhonePe.
How To Set Up WhatsApp Payment:
1: Update your WhatsApp app by heading over to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2: Open the WhatsApp app and click on Settings menu.
3: Tap on the Payment option.
4: Add your Bank account details by selecting your bank.
How To Send Money Using WhatsApp:
1: After adding bank account, open the contact you wish to send money to.
2. Go to the Payment option on top.
3. Select the bank account you wish to transfer money from.
4. Enter the amount followed by UPI PIN.
