Hrushikesh & Sudipta From Odisha’s Berhampur Enter India Book Of Records As First Anchoring Couple Of India

Bhubaneswar: Hrushikesh and Sudipta Panigrahi from Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district have entered the India Book of Records 2024 as “the first anchoring couple of India”.

The couple, who have transformed anchoring on the stage into an art and have been introducing renowned artists and personalities for more than last 30 years, were felicitated at a function, organised by ‘Nadabrahma’, a well-known cultural organisation, at Aditya Birla Hall of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

Hrushikesh and Sudipta have been working in harmony since the Konark Dance and Music Festival in 1993. Their immense respect for the celebrities is reflected in their narrations. The couple have introduced President, Prime Minister and scores of eminent personalities, artists on the stage.

“It has been a fulfilling journey for both of us as we feel proud to have tried to bring a sense of professionalism to the work. If you have to reach out to the audience, you have to cultivate your own style. A deep insight into our rich and varied culture and command over the language is the prerequisite to success,” said the couple.

Swami Brahmanisthananda Saraswati, founder of Swami Chidananda World Peace Foundation, Mangalore; Gobardhan Dhal, Chairman of International Boita Bandana Utsav, Delhi and Dr Ramani Ranjan Jena, Chairman of Konark Mahotsav attended the function.

Jagannath Kuanr, secretary of Nadabrahma coordinated the programme which started with Gita Govida rendition by renowned Odissi singer Mahapatra Minati Bhanja.
