Bhubaneswar: Once again Odia sportspersons have earned accolades in a global athletic event for the country and Odisha in particular.
Bhubaneswar’s Suvam Mishra won bronze for his resplendent performance in the mixed pair category on the last day of 12th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship held at Tashkent in Uzbekistan on Thursday. Earlier, Ganjam district’s Chandan Kumar Sahoo won gold medal in the 60-kg category (October 6).
After this historic feat, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) took to twitter to congratulate both the athletes thus: “Bhubaneswar boy Suvam Mishra has won bronze medal third place at the 12th #WorldBodyBuilding & Physique Sports championship at Uzbekistan. BMC congratulates Suvam and Chandan Sahoo who won gold in 60-kg category for bringing glory for #India. #OdishaForSports.
