Bhubaneswar: Excise sleuths and flying squad seized over 9,000 litres of country-made liquor and arrested eight persons, including six women, at Salia Sahi in Odisha capital on Friday.
According to sources, the Excise Department officials conducted a raid and seized the country liquor, which was being produced illegally.
The arrested persons were making county liquor at the spot. The police also destroyed several items, used in making liquor.
All the arrested persons will be forwarded to the court, the sources added.
