Angul: Soon after the state government imposed a ban on sale and use of firecrackers from November 10 to 30, two trucks load of firecrackers were seized in Talcher area of the district.
Following a raid by police and local administration last night on the house of one Tima Sahu on the basis of information that he had illegally hoarded firecrackers on his premises near the SBI ATM on Talcher Bypass road, over two truckloads of firecrackers were recovered.
Talcher Tehsildar Gouri Naik, Sub-Collector Rajnikant Swain and Talcher Municipality Executive Officer (EO) Atashi Parida were present during the raid.
