I-T Raid Continues For 2nd Day In Odisha’s Jharsuguda After Interrogation Of BJD MLA Dipali Das’ Brother

Jharsuguda: After interrogating BJD MLA Dipali Das’ brother Bishal, officials of the Income Tax department conducted raid at residence of his personal assistant in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Saturday.

As per information, at least two teams of officials of the I-T department continued the search operation at the residence of Asish Das in Kolabira area.

The raid continued after I-T officials from Rourkela, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Bhubaneswar interrogated Bishal Das in a hotel in Jharsuguda for around five hours.

Bishal’s sister Dipali is contesting from Jharsuguda Assembly constituency as Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate in 2024 elections.

Over 15 officials of I-T department conducted raids and interrogated Bishal and some other family members.

Office employees and businessmen linked to her family were also reportedly quizzed by the I-T sleuths on Friday, while Bishal was interrogated at a private hotel in Jharsuguda.

The I-T team interrogated Vishal for five hours and then released him.

Vishal and his family members were not immediately available for comment on the sudden development.
