Mumbai: The casting couch culture is very common in film industries and many aspiring actors, including male artists, without a godfather in the industry, have faced it.
Recently, Bollywood’s most bankable actor Ayushmann Khurrana opened up about his casting couch experience during his struggling days in the industry.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann revealed that when he was a newcomer, he was asked to show his ‘Tool’ to get the lead role in a film.
However, the actor refused to compromise and said that he was straight.
Revealing his casting couch experience, Ayushmann said, ”A casting director had told me, ‘I’ll give you the lead role if you showed me your tool.’ I told him I’m straight and I politely refused his offer.”
Recalling his early days in the industry, the actor said that he has faced rejections several times and now, he is strong enough to handle failures.
Ayushmann is called as the ‘hit express’ in B-town as he has given back-to-back hits in the past two years.
He made his debut with blockbuster movie ‘Vicky Donor’ and was last seen in ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan’.
