New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has completed the second round of the countrywide serological survey (sero survey) to detect the prevalence of the COVID-19.
The ICMR, in a statement on Sunday, said the analysis of the second sero survey is in the final stage and its results would be published soon. The analysis would offer a comparison with the results of the first survey.
The Council said it has been sharing the findings of dynamic containment zones from the previous survey to the respective state authorities. The states have also conducted their zone and city-specific surveys. “To further aid in developing state intervention plans following the ICMR survey, states have also conducted their zone/city-specific surveys,” the Council stated.
Dr Balram Bhargava, director-general, ICMR had said at a press briefing on Tuesday that the results of the second survey would be made public by the end of September.
