New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has allowed the students of Class X and XII to appear for the pending board exams from the exam centre of their choice.
Besides, the students can also choose to take the examination later during compartmental tests, as per officials.
Since many students have relocated to different cities following enforcement of the nationwide lockdown since March 25, therefore, the council received requests from many parents and schools regarding the option to change the examination centre.
“To ensure that students who are not present in the district where their school is located, the candidates have been allowed to appear for the remaining examinations from an exam centre located in a CISCE-affiliated school in the location they are in,” chief executive and secretary, CISCE, Gerry Arathoon told NDTV.
“Students who are unable to appear for the remaining exams due to COVID-19 will be permitted to take the exams at the time of conduct of compartmental exams,” he added.
The students can register with their respective schools by June 7 for change in the exam centre.
The exams will be held from July 1 to 14.
