Bhubaneswar: IIT-Bhubaneswar has been ranked the ninth best engineering college in the country by India Today in its annual list of best engineering institutes in India.
It climbed up one place in the 2019 ranking conducted by the media group in association with Marketing and Development Research Associates (MDRA), a marketing research
and consulting organisation.
The parameters covered intake quality and governance, academic excellence, infrastructure and living experience, personality and leadership development and career progression and placement.
“At IIT Bhubaneswar, we have been raising the standards of operations of the institute on all fronts, such as quality of education including learning, teaching, strengthening of research and fostering innovation towards providing holistic development of students. It is indeed very satisfying to see the institute’s position or rank go up in all the ranking frameworks in the country as well as at the global level. We are committed to making IIT-Bhubaneswar a globally respected institute,” Director of IIT-Bhubaneswar Prof R V Raja Kumar said in a statement.
The ranking adds yet another feather to IIT-BBSR’s cap, as it was also ranked 17th among all engineering institutes for 2019 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the HRD Ministry.
