IIT Kharagpur has invited applications for admission to the sought-after Post Graduate Diploma In Business Analytics (PGDBA) programme for the 2020-22 batch.
The two-year programme is jointly offered by IIT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta and Indian Statistical Institute.
According to an admission notice issued on Saturday, IIT Kharagpur has informed that the last date for submission of online application is January 19.
About the programme:
The course is aimed at creating business analytics professionals employable by leading Indian and foreign firms. It is designed for those who have an analytical mindset, are interested in tackling challenging business problems and possess an inclination towards mathematics.
The course is taught by reputed faculty members on the campuses of three institutes. The candidates are exposed to hands-on business analytics training at a related company and have an opportunity to engage in continuous interaction with industry leaders. There is availability of placement opportunities at all the three institutes jointly offering this programme.
Eligibility:
A candidate must hold a graduate/post-graduate degree with a minimum of 60 per cent marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree.
Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as specified above by May 31, 2020. For such cases, admission will be provisional, subject to the submission of final mark sheet by October 31, 2020.
Selection:
The selection process will comprise admission test and personal interviews for short-listing of candidates.
