Illicit Liquor, Ganja Seized In Puri

Puri: Excise officials seized a huge cache of illicit liquor from separate places in Puri and arrested three persons on Sunday night.

Acting on a tip-off, the Puri excise department and Berhampur Intelligence Bureau officials conducted raids in Baliapatpur, Paika sahi, Maluda and Patharganja areas under Krushnaprasad police limits here and seized the liquor.

Sources said about 300 litres of country-made liquor, 116 bottles of beer, 252 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and 10 litres of illicit distilled liquor were seized from these places. Over two quintals of ganja too was seized.
