IMD Dense Fog Alert For These Odisha Districts; Night Temp To Rise

Bhubaneswar: Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday in its midday bulletin issued at 1 pm.

However, shallow to moderate fog will cover parts of Coastal Odisha, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput districts. It has issued a ‘yellow’ warning for dense fog in the above districts till 8.30 am on Wednesday.

However, the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj are likely to witness light to moderate rain or thundershower for 24 hours from 8.30 am of Wednesday.

Feb 9 (8.30 am) (Yellow Warning)

Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal.

Feb 9 (8.30 am) to Feb 10 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Feb 10 (8.30 am) to Feb 11 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and at one or two places over the rest districts of North Odisha, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Khurda and Puri.

Dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Feb 11 (8.30 am) to Feb 12 (8.30 am)

Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

On the other hand, the minimum temperature (night) is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next 2 days and is likely to  gradual fall by 3 to 4 degree Celsius from February 11.
