Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a two-day yellow warning for dense fog in 13 districts of Odisha.
The national weather agency, in a mid-day bulletin, said there will be dense fog at one or two places in Balasore, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul and Kandhamal districts on Sunday and Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Ganjam on Monday.
It also said that as the cyclonic circulation over Marathwada and neighbourhood has become less marked, there will be intense cold wave in the interior districts due to a sharp fall in the night temperature by 3-5 degree Celsius. The night temperature is most likely to remain below 10 degree Celsius in Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts.
Apart from interior Odisha, the night temperature will fall by 2-3 degree Celsius in the districts of coastal Odisha, it added.
